Beyond The Horizon Cover Reveal!

Hi people!

I am joining a good friend of mine, Jesseca, in revealing the cover of her new novella, Beyond the Horizon!  :D
So, without further ado, I present…

Isn't it beautiful?!?!?! :D
The designer of this wonderful cover is Willowy Whisper, a very talented designer, as you can see. ;)

About the Book:
Eliana longs to see the world beyond the mountains that tower above Salzburg, Austria, but knows that dream will never see such adventure- and neither will she.

Surrounded by a world of cruelty, she lives for the weekly visits of Aaron, a boy she met on one of her rambles through the countryside.

But as the years pass and she begins to grow older, a new and unwelcome world is opened up to her.
On a fateful night at a party she vowed she’d never attend, she comes face to face with a shocking truth.

As the world around her teeters on the brink of war, Eliana struggles to figure out just where her loyalty lies; a decision that will drastically change the course of her life. Will she ever be free to see what lies beyond the horizon?

I am privileged to be a beta-reader for this book, and I am thoroughly enjoying it! :D

About the Author:
Jesseca is an 18-year old daughter, sister, and a child of God. Her days are spent reading, cooking, spending time with siblings, or playing piano.  And writing, of course! At an early age words fascinated her, and her love for the printed page has only grown. She lives with her parents and seven siblings in the sunny state of Kansas, and she’s convinced there’s no place like home.

Faith is also joining us in this reveal, so be sure to check her post out! :)

He Created YOU!

Hi people!
I got the inspiration for this post on Sunday, October 2, when thousands of people across the country stood on the edge of streets, highways, and interstates.  They were holding signs, praying, talking, all as a movement against abortion.
I was one of them.
Some people think children are optional; if they don't want children, they can get rid of them.  Sorry, but… I don't agree.  The Bible says, and I quote: "Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward." ~Psalm 127:3
Kids are special, people!  I mean, seriously, a heritage from the Lord.  I'll just have to remind my mom about that when she gets mad. B-)  (Love ya Mom! XD)
Now, this post isn't just about abortion, although that's something specific that I'm using as an example.  This post is about doing something about it.  Will we hide under the blankets until we die?
I'll admit, I haven't done much about it.  But when given the opportunity to join other people in this Life Chain, I couldn't let it pass.  So now I'd like to ask a question:
Even though many of us don't know what to do, if you're given the opportunity to do some little thing, will you pass it up?
Let's take a look at what God has to say, shall we?

"For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them." ~Matthew 18:20

"Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." ~Matthew 28:19, 20

"I charge you therefore, before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, Who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing: preach the word!  Be ready in season and out of season.  Convince, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and teaching." ~2 Timothy 4:1, 2

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of Truth." ~2 Timothy 2:15

"Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." ~2 Corinthians 5:20

"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." ~Ephesians 2:10

2 Chronicles 7:14
But there is something we can all do right now; we can pray, pray for our country, our new president (as well as our current president), our government in general.
Rebekah wrote an amazing poem about abortion that you should check out if you haven't read it before!
Also, Faith did an awesome post similar to this one (promise, Faith, I didn't steal your idea! ;)) that you should also read.
And lastly, I'd like to share a song.  Although there's lots of songs I could mention, this one hits me every time I hear it.  There's one line in it that says how, even though we may think that God isn't doing anything about any of the wrongness in this world, He did; He created us!  So let me ask again: given the opportunity to do something, will we let it pass?  This is easier said than done, I realize, but hopefully it won't keep us from doing what God calls us to do.

What are your thoughts, people?  I'd love to have some input!
