Baby Goat Pictures? You're Kidding Me!

Yeah, yeah, cringe all you want. But I just had to put that pun in there. ;) #sorrynotsorry

Chowboy's goats just finished their kidding season! The babies are so cuuuuuuute *squishes them* and while I didn't get pictures of all of them, I did get lots of pictures of our two bottle goats, Minnie and Emily!

(Minnie has a twin sister named Pearl. Get it? Minnie & Pearl??)

(Also Emily has a twin sister named Jillian)

Minnie is the black one, and Emily is the red. They didn't really stand still enough for me to take a really good picture, so the result is...well...quite something. ;)

"Did someone say...CHOCOLATE??"

"You're in my spot. Move."

"I'm so photogenic."
"Guys, being a model is too much work."

I'm...not even sure what she's doing here. I thought I had her at a perfect angle, and then...just as I snapped a picture, she stuck out her tongue!

She apparently didn't like me to hold her that way...
(ft. my fabulous double chin)

Emily was either trying to give me a hug...or chew my hair. Pretty sure it's the latter.

It's the CIIIIIRCLE of LIIIIIIIFE!

Were you able to handle the adorableness?? *grins*

Oh, and one last picture before you go as a farewell from Emily:

"G'byyyyye!"

Like a Puppy

Meet Trigger, the newest addition to our home! Isn't he adorable?

Kordell and I took him him with us to check the cows yesterday, and it was so cute how he just sat there at my feet. He didn't understand that we wouldn't let him up on the seat because we didn't want to make a mess. He didn't understand why we made him approach the cows while he was terrified of them. He didn't understand why we wouldn't let him go wherever he wanted. He didn't understand what was going on outside, but he wanted so badly to see it all. He wanted to see everything that was happening when he was stuck in the car while we were out of the pasture. And sometimes he caught glimpses when the door would open. But Kordell and I, we knew why. We could see everything. And Trigger trusted us, and he obeyed.

Sometimes we don't understand why God holds us back. Sometimes we don't understand why we have to face our fears. Sometimes we don't realize that the actions we do today can affect what happens tomorrow, or what happens to those around us. Sometimes we want to see everything; we want to see the future. We want to see the end result. And sometimes, sometimes, God lets us catch a glimpse. When someone tells us that we had the exact words they needed to hear, even though we're convinced that we never have the right words. When we step outside on a Spring day and hear the birds singing, and we realize that God really is in control.

We hope. We have faith that God knows and sees everything. And we trust like a puppy.

And so it Begins...

The adorables are starting to come into the world! Meet Jimbo, Sarah, Ashwy and Caleb, the first calves of the season!

Well . . . I actually didn't get a picture of Ashwy. Because when I was finally in a position to snap a shot, she'd disappeared. Go figure.

Jimbo
Of course the little guys wouldn't let me close. I guess I'm scary. *halo*

Caleb & his mama
Me: You could stare at your cows all day, couldn't you?
Kordell: Yeah, probably.

Kinda hard to see Sarah...she's the little one on the left
Yeah, he kinda loves his cows.

The cows were quite anxious to get fed!
Cows that are too hungry to be wary of the phone. *smirks*

FOOOOOOD
He actually has some of them tame enough to let him pet them.

No, Kordell...a little bit to the right...ahhhhh, that's the spot.
So yes, that happened almost first thing this morning. What do you like to do during your weekends?

Cute Things

Am I the only one that loves baby animals?
Granted, I'm not exactly an animal person.  I'm more of a cuddle-them-when-I-feel-like-it kind of person.  But they're still adorable.
Some of Chowboy's goats had kids!  Lady & Liam, Daily & Vincent, and Savannah & Sidney.  The guy isn't too bad at naming goats.  Though he doesn't usually like my ideas, so he obviously needs a little help.
Anyway, my sister-in-law Ashleigh now has kittens at her house!  Petey, the cat they thought was a boy, had a litter... yes, her husband renamed her.  No, it's not a girl name.  He actually called her Simon Peter.
I'll stick with Petey.
Also, Kordell got a new bucket calf!  The dude's name is Jarvis, and he's quite the looker.

I have to admit, though, none of these pictures were taken by me, sadly.  However, Chow, Kara and Ash are both quite capable.

I'm not exactly what you'd call a cat person... but I must admit that the kitties are adorable.

Yes, I told Ashleigh it looks like she's strangling the poor thing.  Pretty sure she's not, though.  I hope.
At first I said this one should be named Greg... and then was quickly reminded that this one is a girl.  Oops.

Lady
Liam
Daily is a handful.  He's not quite so fond of being held.
On the other hand, as the largest, Vincent is also super gentle.  I like to call him Vince.

Isn't Savannah the cutest?!

Sadie's a good mama.

Lastly, Jarvis.  He kinda stole my heart.

New Additions

Hi people!

As promised, here are the baby animals. ;)
First off the goat kids, or the goatlets, as they're called around here. ;)
Danny Duffy
Little Joe (he's the biggest one out there! XD)
Roscoe
Hannah (brown) and Brooklyn
Brooklyn and Lillian are twins, Roscoe and Hannah are twins, and Little Joe and Danny Duffy are twins.

Danny & Joe nursing
Goatlets are so fun to let you suck on your finger... until their teeth get sharp. ;)

Goats love to climb/chew on everything... including people XD
Calves:

Sam

Just in case you noticed the pattern and was wondering... yes, they're all three-letter names on purpose.  He started out with Sam and Max, and from there... he kept the system. ;)

Oops, somebody's on the wrong side of the fence! ;)
Well, I hope y'all enjoyed! ;)
Stay tuned for a sibling chat!
